Planning for Progression in Mixed-Aged Classes

This course will look at how we can develop, and embed, a well-sequenced curriculum effectively in schools with mixed-aged classes. Using case studies from real schools, we will learn how we can embed a curriculum that builds over time, and support schools with implementing it using the space and resources available to them. 

Across the three sessions, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences and learn from colleagues in other schools. 

We will consider questions such as: 

• What does a well-sequenced curriculum in the foundation subjects look like? 
• How can we ensure our curriculum meets the needs of all of the children in our mixed-aged classes? 
• What are the challenges we face teaching mixed aged classes and what can we put in place to help overcome these? 
• What are the benefits of teaching mixed aged classes? 

Note: Sessions will be recorded, but live participation is strongly encouraged so that delegates have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with colleagues.
