Managing Behaviour and Establishing Culture

This online CPD is designed for teachers and leaders and focuses on how we can create a culture that promotes excellence and enables children to learn and teachers to teach. 

Creating the right classroom environment is a fundamental prerequisite to good teaching and learning. Every child can succeed within a learning environment built upon trust, self-discipline, and high aspirations. This course will discuss what that looks like in practice in the primary classroom, with practical strategies and examples from PKC schools. 

This session will include:  

• Culture – what is culture, how to establish it and building belonging 
• Behaviour – expectations, low-level disruption, routines and consequences 
• Behaviour for learning – motivation, praise, rewards and attention
