This online session will explore effective practice in primary art, including why we teach art and why it is important, how to explore different concepts in art by looking at famous works and the progression of knowledge and skills during the primary years. It will look at effective lesson structure, the importance of looking, talk and demonstration and exploring techniques and materials. It will also provide tools for assessment. The session will be recorded and available for participants.
