Effective Teaching in Design and Technology

This online session will explore effective practice in primary Design and Technology and how we inspire students to think about the important and integral role design, and the creation of designed products, play in our society. We will explore the progression of knowledge and skills during the primary years and consider effective lesson and unit structure. We will look at the three foundational areas of our PKC DT curriculum; cook, build and sew and unpick three different ‘aspects’ of design that are interwoven into the three areas of study: the environment and sustainability, enterprise and innovation and the process of design. The session will be recorded and available for participants.
