Primary History: Historical Writing Workshop

This workshop will cover how we can introduce our pupils to the subject of history through building a solid foundation of disciplinary knowledge, including methods of enquiry and how historians communicate their ideas.

This workshop will look at how and why enquiry questions are important to historians and how we can support our children to construct their own structured accounts.

We will provide strategies we can use to support children with writing narratives, providing case studies showing teaching sequences and outcomes from primary schools we work with
